Historic lodging at the gateway to the Gunnison National Forest

Welcome to the historic Pitkin Hotel which was constructed in 1904 during the prospecting and gold mining era. Step back in time to enjoy the old west ambience at a hotel which has kept some of its old time charm while adding some of the modern day conveniences (such as "indoor plumbing" instead of outhouses). Guests can have full use of the fully-equipped kitchen to cook their own meals and come and go as they please.

From the hotel you have access to hundreds of miles of OHV trails in the beautiful Gunnison National Forest and surrounding area. The spectacular scenery includes old ghost towns, abandoned mines, the historic Alpine Tunnel,  and is teeming with wildlife including mule deer, elk, and even a few moose.

You can also rent single rooms or the entire Hotel for your group's exclusive use (up to 40 people). We invite you to come stay and enjoy nature at its best in Pitkin, Colorado! Make your reservations early!
